Mirage - Dimension

"an optical illusion caused by atmospheric conditions, especially the appearance of a sheet of water in a desert or on a hot road caused by the refraction of light from the sky by heated air."

"Dimension" is my 2021 Fall Menswear Collection for the MODE Fashion Show Lookbook. Inspired by my brothers who often wish for more colorful clothing options in their wardrobes (but fear looking too ostentatious) I sought to design an assortment of men's garments with unique textures and colors intended to be mixed and matched.

 

I drew my inspiration from the mixture of patterns in"Magic Eye" optical illusions tied with a color pallet drawn from locations where optical illusion may take place in nature. As a menswear collection, I designed these pieces to fit men's proportions, yet modeled them myself due to covid restrictions.
